This novel event is an important fundraiser for SMAC, helping to cover operating expenses of the Art Center. The show runs October 3-31.

Although the evening’s weather was a bit crazy and the event had to be cut short due to rainstorms, it was a good time for those in attendance.

Throughout the month of October, shoppers are also encouraged to donate $10 through Tanger.com and receive a TangerPink card offering 25% off a single item.

“This man lost his life by jumping in to save another man,” said Backlin. “I didn’t know him well personally, but I was so moved by the thoughts of the grief his family must be experiencing, so Wendy and I decided to do something to help.” 

A highlight of the banquet, as always, was hearing personal testimonies from several clients.

It has been a long-held tradition for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Kimberling City to invite their community to join them in thanking God for giving us this great and diverse world filled with so many beautiful creatures.

The Branson-Hollister Lions Club has a total of 12 acres, including the property the Lions Club building sits on and the space next to the facility.

Last year over 12,000 diapers were collected and with the addition of five participating grocery stores, the goal for the 2025 campaign is 25,000 diapers donated.

In keeping with the College’s Patriotic Pillar, we hope the community leaves our campus with a deeper appreciation of American heritage, a stronger sense of civic responsibility and a renewed love of country.

“We have some kids who have never shopped for their own pair of shoes before,” she said. “It’s been so nice to see the excitement on their faces.”

The three-day festival featured live music and entertainment, community booths, a POW/MIA ceremony, food trucks and a wide variety of crafts for sale in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Items most needed are peanut butter, canned chicken, breakfast items, canned vegetables and fruits, rice, diapers and other baby items, personal hygiene, paper goods and laundry detergent.
