Branson entertainer begins cancer battle, GoFundMe established

Friends and fans are rallying around a Branson entertainer who recently began a battle with cancer.

Michael Frost, one third of The Frosts Trio and a well-known entertainer, not only in Branson, but throughout the realm of gospel music, is fighting one of the toughest battles of his life. Frost was recently diagnosed with myeloma. He underwent surgery to remove multiple tumors from his spine and is now recovering as he and his medical team make plans for treatment.  

Frost, who produces and stars with his family in the popular Southern Gospel Sundays, which was awarded Gospel Show of the Year in the recent Branson Show Awards, is a popular face and voice in Branson, as part of the cast of Back to the Bee Gees, CJ Newsom's Classic Country and Comedy, Smoke on the Mountain and more.  

Frost's friend Stephen Odom has launched a GoFundMe page for Michael to help raise needed money for the vocalist, as he recovers.

Said Odom, "If you know Michael, you love him. For those who know Michael, performing is not just a job. It is his livelihood and a huge part of who he is. Michael is a full-time performer in Branson, appearing in six different shows each week, and he also serves as a worship leader on Sundays. He has spent years using his gifts to encourage and uplift others and now he is facing a season filled with medical uncertainty and time away from work. Because performing provides Michael's income, every missed show creates financial strain. Donations will help replace lost income and cover ongoing medical, treatment-related travel, and other expenses during the months ahead. Recurring donations would provide steady support as these needs continue over time, and one-time gifts would also make a real difference for Michael, Jen and Jael."
