The year's display featured an amazing replica of the Chateau, an exquisite gingerbread chapel, and spectacular gingerbread houses and shops.

As Christmas fast approaches, Branson Globe readers were asked to share the traditions that make the holidays special for their individual families. 

Those attending are encouraged to dress in their most festive Christmas attire, and bring a sign promoting Branson and the Christmas season.

Local churches, organizations and businesses are represented at the parade, as are schools throughout the region.

A local food pantry holds an annual holiday fundraiser that gains attention from both area residents and visitors.   Christian Action Ministries is the driving force behind Festival of Trees, a truly unique fundraising event that has become one the largest sources of income for the nonprofit in its nine years,   Festival of Trees, located at the Branson Landing, is an expansive collection of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each with its own theme, as well as hand-craft

These special events are a wonderful way to “shop local” for your holiday gift-giving and support local artists and crafters. It’s all taking place at the Claybough Plaza Mall, 11016 St. Hwy. 76 in Branson West. 

Whether creating new memories or revisiting cherished traditions, guests are invited to celebrate the season surrounded by nature’s beauty.

In recent years, Branson has become known as America's Christmas Tree City, with businesses displaying a wide variety of beautifully and creatively decorated trees for the enjoyment of our area residents and visitors.

This year, the Branson Christmas Coalition invites the entire community to participate in a very special kickoff to Ozark Mountain Christmas with the First Lights of Ozark Mountain Christmas & the Community Christmas Tree Lighting on November 1.

The City of Forsyth, the Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Taneycomo Elks invite the community to join them on Saturday evening, November 1, for the celebratory Christmas Tree Lighting at Forsyth City Hall, 15405 U.S. Hwy. 160 in Forsyth. The festivities will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Christmas baked treats and live music being planned and the official first flip of the switch scheduled for 7 p.m.    The community Christmas tree represents a key step for Fors
