Branson featured on Today Show series ‘Merriest Main Streets’

Thousands of people flocked to Historic Downtown Branson recently for an exciting opportunity to promote Branson during the holiday season.

Branson was recently selected to be a part of the "Merriest Main Streets" series of NBC's Today Show. The segment featured Olivia Pritchard of KY3 TV in Springfield.  

Pritchard visited with the Branson Lakes Area Chamber's Heather Herman, who explained what makes Branson such an amazing city. Herman announced two recent holiday accolades that Branson is proud of—Big Cedar Lodge being named the Number One Holiday Hotel and Silver Dollar City as the top Holiday Theme Park.

Pritchard walked among those attending the event, many of who were dressed in festive attire and carried signs promoting Branson's live shows.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were also on hand for the event.  

The Branson segment, which aired at 7:20 a.m. on December 12, concluded with the crowd enthusiastically singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
