Music family holds book launch event, October 3
A Branson entertainer has penned a book and will be holding a book launch this Saturday.
Sheila Dutton, the matriarch of the musical Dutton Family invites fans and friends to attend the launch event for her new book "Raising the Duttons.” In this book, Sheila, who had no musical background, shares how she started her seven children playing violin to help teach them discipline. This decision was the beginning of one of Branson's popular family shows. The Duttons, who have made Branson their home for decades, have also appeared on “America's Got Talent,” and on PBS. They also travel to Arizona, where they spend their winters entertaining the crowds.
"Raising the Duttons" tells the story of Sheila and Dean adopting seven additional children. As a family, the Duttons faced many unforeseen obstacles over the years, but triumphed above those challenges to keep going and keep sharing their music.
The book launch event is set for Saturday, October 3, 10 a.m. at the Dutton Family Theater in Branson.
