Other competitions throughout the day included the watermelon crawl, skillet toss and pig scramble, rounding out another year of Hillbilly Days festivities in Reeds Spring.

During the apple-themed kickoff, children also learned about Johnny Appleseed and discovered a little surprise hidden inside a familiar fall fruit.
