The Holiday Food Harvest helps stock local food banks with needed supplies during the Christmas season.

Elevate Branson volunteers took orders, served visitors who dined by candlelight, cleaned up after the meal and spent time visiting with and getting to know others in attendance.

Children at each of the three locations will be able to shop for gifts, most of which were made by JATC members. JATC members will help the children shop and then assist in wrapping the gifts the children have selected.

Donations of nonperishable food items, including canned goods (fruits, vegetables, soups and canned meat), boxed meals, dried beans, pasta, snacks and more are suggested

The free event, running from 10 a.m. to noon, promises a morning of Christmas magic for children and families throughout the Branson area. No pre-registration is required, and all activities are free while supplies last.

Every child aged 12 and under will receive a special gift from Santa. Pre-registration is required.

A local church will hold a ceremony in honor of the beautiful new mural that graces their building. Painted by artist Valerie Clayton of Liberty, Missouri, the mural on the outside of Branson's Church of the Harvest, was designed to depict the biblical harvest. As the meeting drew to a close, those present were already looking forward to the next opportunity to get together. Many also said they were inspired to suggest more ways generations can interact in our communities and civic groups, and especially in our churches.

On the day before Thanksgiving, volunteers from the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors will be stationed at participating stores throughout the area, collecting nonperishable food items and cash donations.
