First of Elevate Community’s homes placed on foundations

Elevate Community, Branson's planned tiny home development, is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Last week, the first eight houses of Elevate Community were placed on their foundations, a very visible sign that affordable housing will soon be available for many members of the Branson area workforce.

Over the course of two days, Elevate Branson and Elevate Community held an open-house type celebration, inviting members of the community to witness the first eight of a planned 70 houses, lifted by a 200-foot-tall crane and placed on their concrete footings.

Elevate Community, an outreach of the well-known nonprofit Elevate Branson is designed to address the shortage of affordable housing in the tourist community of Branson where many work low-paying jobs and more than 20% of the residents live in poverty.

he houses are each 400 square feet in size, including a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, and living area. They will offer the residents a comfortable and private place in which to live – a place to proudly call home. The community will also feature a chapel, several micro businesses, job training opportunities and more. Residents will also find a variety of valuable resources next door on the Elevate Branson campus.

Plans are for the first residents of Elevate Community to move in later this year.

While many of the tiny homes have already been graciously sponsored by area businesses, individuals and organizations, there are still many opportunities to sponsor a tiny home. Sponsorship allows your name or logo to be placed on the front of the home and listed on the website. Sponsors are also encouraged to select a name for their home. Each sponsor may choose the exterior and roof colors for their home, as well as interior, floor and cabinet colors. Sponsors are also encouraged to meet and befriend the occupants of their home.

Additional tiny home sponsorships include a solar energy sponsorship, furniture package sponsorship, landscape sponsorship and home essentials sponsorship. To learn more about helping provide area residents with safe and affordable housing through sponsorship of the tiny home community, visit elevatebranson.org/elevatecommunity, or contact Elevate Branson co-founder Bryan Stallings via email, BryanStallings@ElevateBranson.org.
