Most of us do not think much about our home or business water service until we turn on the tap or want to flush the toilet or do some cleaning—that is, as long as things are working and the water is clean! But what about those times when it’s not—when you get the message from your HOA that your neighborhood system is down for maintenance again, or your municipality is scheduled to vote on expensive needed improvements.
For Ozarks Clean Water Company (OCWC), thinking about and working towards clean and reliable water service is a 24/7 mission. On Wednesday, April 8, join the Operations Manager of OCWC at Kimberling Area Library’s Learning on Wednesday session, for an inside look at how this unique Kimberling City-based nonprofit manages the “invisible infrastructure” of our community.
OCWC speakers will dive into the ways OCWC protects the water quality of Table Rock Lake for area residents and visitors to enjoy, by acquiring and stabilizing aging neighborhood systems, taking the regulatory burden off of homeowners’ associations (HOAs) and utilizing professional management to ensure long-term sustainability.
Whether you are a curious resident, a HOA board member looking for infrastructure solutions, or a seasonal resident looking at moving to the area full time, you’ll appreciate this opportunity to learn how we keep our local watershed clean, one gallon at a time.
This valuable informative session will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the library community room at 45 Kimberling Blvd. Pre-registration is not required, attendance is FREE, and coffee and light snacks are provided.
