Spring Fling offered music and more

The first annual Spring Fling in Historic Downtown Branson offered fun for all ages.

The two-day event attracted both visitors and local residents to the newly renovated downtown area, where they enjoyed music and fun.

The Spring Fling featured music of all styles—some of Branson's finest entertainers and some up-and-comers. each sharing their musical talents. Some groups were stationed in specific downtown areas, such as Main Street near Dick's 5 and 10 or the corner of Commercial and Pacific Streets, while others strolled down Main Street and other downtown areas.

Entertainers included Rick McEwen, Kari and Drew Garrison, Baldridge Brothers, Harmony Trio, Peggy Lee Brennan, Billy Yates, Wayne and Garrett Massengale, Keith Allyn and Diana Lynn, Dan Wagner, Motown Downtown and others.

Strolling historical reenactors were readily available to talk about themselves and take photos. Spotted on the streets were Abraham Lincoln, Betsy Ross, Uncle Sam, Patrick Henry and President Donald Trump.

Children enjoyed face painting and balloon artists, and several crafters and artisans displayed their wares each day, including wood carving, feather painting, kids’ crafts, lace makers and more.

Beautiful patriotic decor and selfie stations were the perfect backdrop for downtown photos.

To add to the excitement of Spring Fling, many downtown stores, shops and restaurants offered specials and sales, to the delight of those attending, as well as giveaways and raffles.

Many mentioned they hadn't been into the downtown area in quite some time, while some visitors commented that they had never visited downtown. Yet, all agreed that they enjoyed their time in Historic Downtown Branson, and would certainly return.
