A touching part of the Monday event was the Placement of the Wreaths Ceremony, with wreaths being placed in honor and remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives in America's wars.

The Branson Veterans of America 913 will host the city's annual Memorial Day Ceremony. Set for Monday, May 25, the event is designed to honor those brave men and women who gave their lives to protect our freedom. The Memorial Day event will include special musical selections, posting of the colors, a wreath placement ceremony, flag folding ceremony, traditional rifle volley and words from special invited guests and elected officials, The keynote speaker for the Memorial

For fun, we had a car show with an amazing number of show cars. One hundred twelve show cars registered at our car show, more than double the number we had last year.

One non-military couple was so impressed with the Honor Flight information that they signed up to be volunteer escorts for a veteran on a flight.

Again this year, there be a car show, along with 31 resource/vendor booths including children’s activities and food/beverage trucks, as well as a new feature, the “Veterans Celebration Station.”

With funds earned Friday, July 25, the last of four service nights, the scholarships are fully funded for 2026.
