Branson Schools: Courtwarming 2026 in review
Students and staff recently celebrated Courtwarming Week February 17-20. Branson High School Student Council members coordinated themed spirit days and saw enthusiastic participation across all campuses. The week’s festivities culminated in the crowning of Trevlyn Eilers and Kaylian Gomez as Courtwarming King and Queen. The Pirates fought a hard battle against the Hillcrest Hornets. Pirate pride was on full display throughout the week.

COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS
College of the Ozarks Theatre and Music students to present ‘Little Women’
College of the Ozarks theatre and music departments presents “Little Women” as the spring musical, March 5 - 9, in Jones Auditorium.
The performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. on March 5 – 7; 2:30 p.m. on March 8; and 7:30 p.m. on March 9. Ticket prices are adults, $15; senior citizens, $10; children (ages 18 and under) and non-College of the Ozarks students, $10. College of the Ozarks students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with ID. Associates are free and associate guests are $5.

C of O Men’s Basketball Coach Steve Shepherd completed coaching career, continues as athletic director
College of the Ozarks recently announced that Steve Shepherd will complete his chapter as head men’s basketball coach, effective at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year.
Shepherd will continue leading and serving as an influential part of Bobcat Athletics in his role as College of the Ozarks athletic director.
Introduced as the fourth head coach in program history in 2002, Shepherd guided the Bobcats to unprecedented success, including the College’s first-ever NAIA Division II National Championship in 2006, multiple Final Four appearances, and a legacy defined not only by wins and championships, but by an unwavering commitment to character, values, and the development of young men.
Shepherd and his wife, Karen, look forward to a change of pace and the opportunity to spend more time with their family — Alexis and her husband, Lucas; Sydney and her husband, Cameron; daughters Angelina and Arianna, and their five grandchildren.
REEDS SPRING SCHOOLS
Reeds Spring High School sports recap
Reeds Spring senior Kadyn Allerton competed at the Class 2 State Wrestling Championship in Columbia. Allerton lost his first match 1-0, won his second match 3-0, and lost his third match 11-4.

Boys Basketball: The Wolves beat Monett 64-60 and lost to Strafford 57-48.
Girls Basketball: The Lady Wolves did not have any games last week. They begin the district tournament this week.
Reeds Spring robotics teams qualify for state
Seven teams from Reeds Spring Schools will compete at the Vex IQ Robotics Missouri State Championships. They qualified recently at the tournament at Reeds Spring.

The teams are made up of students in grades 5-8. They design and program robots to complete tasks, which are judged on speed and precision.
“The coaches and parents are very proud of our teams and all they have learned and accomplished,” said Coach Keith Kramer.
The championships will take place in St. Louis on March 7 and 8.

Reeds Spring Intermediate School Learners of the Month

February Excellence Award Winners at Reeds Spring Schools
Each month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one non-teaching staff member and one certified teacher as Excellence Award winners. The winners for February are Brenda Miller and Caitlin Sullivan. Miller is a paraprofessional at Reeds Spring Middle School, and Sullivan is the early childhood careers teacher at Table Rock Career Center.
