College of the Ozarks will host a Black Friday Retail Event , Friday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.   The event will take place within The Keeter Center, Stained Glass & Candle Shop, and Edwards Mill & General Store. Throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., campus retail locations will be open for holiday shopping, but special event offerings will only be available during the designated timeframe. Wreaths Across America leads the effort to place a wreath on every military Veteran’s grave throughout the United States and to hold wreath dedication ceremonies at U.S. national cemeteries around the world.

Students interviewed in the films, as well as some attending or serving as hosts at performances, affirmed the importance of the Vietnam study, saying it helped them realize that in many ways, Vietnam was a turning point in how our nation approached conflict and support for our military, in contrast with the unwavering patriotism of the Greatest Generation. 

In his remarks, Lowe shared the story of a USAF pilot, Neal Black, whose Husky helicopter was downed during a rescue mission, and Black’s subsequent imprisonment, used by the enemy for propaganda before his eventual release.

To be defined as sex trafficking per federal guidelines, a situation must involve force, fraud, or coercion, except for cases involving minors for which such proof is not required.

The 2025 opening celebration of Veterans Homecoming Week will be held on November 5 at 10 a.m. on the campus of College of the Ozark’s Patriots Park.
