The Taney County Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce expanded in-person absentee voting opportunities for the upcoming November 3, 2026, general election. Through a collaboration with the Branson Police Department, voters will have two convenient locations to cast their ballots during Missouri’s no-excuse absentee voting period.

Beginning Tuesday, October 20, and continuing through Monday, November 2, registered Taney County voters may cast their ballots in person without providing a reason for voting absentee.

Two in-person no-excuse absentee voting locations

  • Taney County Clerk’s Office132 David Street, Forsyth, MO, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Branson Police Department – Satellite Voting Location1 Justice Street, Branson, MO, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The addition of the Branson Police Department as a satellite voting location provides another opportunity for Taney County residents to vote in person before Election Day.

“We are grateful for the collaboration with the Branson Police Department in making this additional voting location possible,” said Taney County Clerk Stephanie Spencer. “Our goal is to make the voting process accessible, convenient, safe and secure for every eligible Taney County voter. We recognize that work schedules, family responsibilities, and transportation can make it difficult for some voters to visit our Forsyth office. Offering a second location in Branson gives voters another option.”

Absentee voting with a reason is already underway

Voters who qualify under Missouri's absentee voting requirements may currently vote in person at the Taney County Clerk’s Office in Forsyth, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Beginning October 20, all registered voters who are eligible to vote in the November 3 election may take advantage of the no-excuse absentee voting period at either location, without needing to provide a reason.

Important reminders for voters

Voters should bring an acceptable form of photo identification, as required by Missouri law; Missouri driver’s license, Missouri non-driver’s license, passport, or military ID. Voters are also encouraged to review their sample ballots and verify their voter registration information before arriving.

Voters can access their personalized sample ballot, check their registration, and confirm their Election Day polling location through the Missouri Secretary of State's Voter Outreach Portal at:

The Taney County Clerk's Office remains committed to conducting elections with integrity, transparency, professionalism and accessibility.

“Our election team works diligently to ensure that every election is conducted accurately, fairly, and securely,” Spencer added. “We appreciate the continued support of our community partners and look forward to serving Taney County voters throughout the absentee voting period and on Election Day.”
