Branson man dies in Taney County car accident

A car crash on Friday, Oct. 9, resulted in a fatality.

A 60-year-old Branson man was pronounced dead on the scene. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the man was driving a Honda Civic heading east on Missouri Route 376, just west of Branson. At around 11:20 p.m., the car went off the road and went airborne. The vehicle hit a tree before coming to a stop. 

The crash report states he was wearing a safety device. 

This is the 98th fatality reported by Troop D this year.
