SIX Show combines area appreciation and food drive

One of Branson's most popular shows has found a way to give back to the community.  

The musical group SIX, like many shows in Branson, is currently holding area appreciation, allowing residents in the local area and surrounding counties to enjoy their spectacular Christmas Show at a very nominal price. SIX, however, uses the area appreciation as an opportunity to collect food for those in need in our area, a tradition they began years ago. 

"We have been doing this food drive for 16 or 17 years," explained SIX's Lynn Knudsen. "We decided to do the food drive all those years ago to at least, in a small way, give back to the Branson community that has given us and our families so much."

Donations of nonperishable food items, including canned goods (fruits, vegetables, soups and canned meat), boxed meals, dried beans, pasta, snacks and more are suggested

Residents in select Missouri and Arkansas counties can purchase tickets to the SIX Show for only $10 with the donation of at least two nonperishable food items per person. All food donations will benefit Christian Action Ministries, the area's largest food bank, serving both Taney and Christian counties.

Residents of the following Missouri counties are invited to attend SIX at the special area appreciation rates: Barry, Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Ozark, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster and Wright. Area appreciation also extends to Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Fulton, Izard, Searcy, Stone and Washington counties in Arkansas.  

Residents must show a valid ID to purchase tickets at the special rate.
