Rep. Brian Seitz, R-Branson, recently filed for reelection to the Missouri House of Representatives for a fourth and final term.
"Over the last six years I have become one of the most effective legislators in the House, advocating for our district and all Missourians. Effectiveness in the Legislature comes through relationships, and I have been able to build those both in and outside the building to the benefit of the citizens I represent," Seitz said. "I am ready for one last ride and I am running full speed ahead."
Seitz reflected on his accomplishments during his first three terms, a list which includes:
· Passing Trey's Law to prohibit NDAs in child sexual abuse cases
· Passing the No Patient Left Behind Act which protects the right for patients in hospitals to have visitors even during pandemics and medical emergencies
· Passing a bill recognizing Branson as the Live Entertainment Capitol of Missouri"
· Passing HJR 73 which will put to a vote of the people the question of protecting the lives of women, children and the unborn
· And having a hand in various other pieces of legislation that protect individual liberty, defend Second Amendment rights, cut government red tape and enhance the lives of Missourians.
"More than anything else, Valerie and I have valued the friendships we have made through the years, and the many prayers that you all have said for us," Seitz said. "If the voters decide to give me one final term, my resolve will not waiver. It has been an honor to serve, and I am deeply grateful that the residents of District 156 have trusted me to represent them. I am ready to finish the great work we began together in 2020, and I hope you all will join by giving me your vote in August and November."
