Patriotic mural painted and dedicated at Lake Vibez during Veterans Week

Organizers and volunteers of the Convoy of Honor were excited be a part of “history in the making” during Branson’s Veterans Homecoming Week 2025. On Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, artists of all ages were invited to participate in painting a portion of a special “I-Spy” wall mural, entitled “Bringing Them Home.” The mural, located at Lake Vibez venue and convenience store at 5439 Historic Hwy. 165, Branson, was unveiled on Monday, November 10. Names of veterans who participated in the painting will be added to white brick portions incorporated into the overall design, along with a few other finishing touches due to some weather delays during the painting time.

Convoy of Honor organizers hope this mural project will serve as a catalyst for additional business, churches, etc., to get involved in the Patriotic Mural Project by adding a mural at their location or sponsoring one. Murals should be patriotic-themed and predominantly red, white and blue.

Convoy of Honor and mural project organizer Mona Miller also keeps busy with other patriotic and appreciation projects around the area, including the annual Heroes Feed. She is currently seeking volunteers to assist with this year’s Feed, starting on November 23, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, to prep for pickup and delivery of the meals on Tuesday. This special holiday meal “with all the fixins” to local law enforcement and first responder headquarters is a great way to show the community’s appreciation. Visit www.convoyofhonor.org or call 417-239-4320 to see how you can help. Let’s team up to support our heroes!
