NFTRL Home Tour: Inspiration and fun for a great cause

The annual Holiday Home Tour presented by Neighbors and Friends of Table Rock Lake is almost here! This is a wonderful opportunity to be inspired by some lovely holiday décor and make some new friends, while supporting family-oriented charities in Taney and Stone County.

To make that Tour happen, though, not only do NFTRL members work together, but several homeowners accept the responsibility of participating. Erica and James Ballard are among this year’s hosts, welcoming guests to their home in Pinnacle Shores. Although the couple spend much of their time in Springfield, where they work, Erica’s mother, Alice Stewart, is a local resident and actively involved in NFTRL.

“Erica was a ‘lake baby,’” said Alice. “We had a cabin here when she was growing up, so as soon as they could, they wanted to get a place of their own, to relax on weekends with their family.” The Ballards keep busy with professional and family life in Springfield, but willingly agreed when invited to participate, with Stewart and other NFTRL friends stepping in to help with the decorating.

“We’ve had ties to the lake area for years now,” said James Ballard. “People come to the lake for the beauty and to relax, but don’t always know about the needs in the area or the work done by organizations like this one to address those needs. We’re glad this is a way we can contribute.” Tour guests are sure to enjoy the Ballards’ beautiful view, enhanced with holiday décor, along with the other stops!

The Holiday Home Tour is scheduled for December 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; see details and get advance tickets at www.nftrl.org. On event days, tickets are available at the Kimberling Area Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., where you’ll also find unique craft items and baked goods at the Holiday Boutique.
