New owners at Branson’s A&W

Branson community leader Marshall Howden has embarked on a new business venture. Howden and his wife Kendra are now the proud owners of Branson's A&W Restaurant, a casual, family-friendly restaurant located conveniently inside Branson's Tanger Outlet. The eatery has the feel of a nostalgic diner, bringing a classic look and vibe to the outlet mall. A&W is known for comfort food, such as burgers, chicken tenders and Wisconsin cheese curds.  Fresh-brewed root beer is the business' signature treat.

Howden explained that the endeavor has been a long time in the making.

"Many of you know that Kendra and I have been preparing to take over the local A&W from my father in-law, Steve Onoh," explained Marshall. What many people may not know is that I have spent the last year and a half training, learning the business and preparing for this day. Over the past year and a half, I have learned just how much goes into running a restaurant, from the kitchen and the counter to employees, inventory, vendors, paperwork and everything in between. There is nothing quite like learning a business by actually being in it every day."

The young couple took over ownership and operation of the restaurant on September 1.

Said Marshall. "Our goal is pretty simple – serve great food, take care of our employees, treat our customers right, and continue making Branson's A&W a place our community can be proud of. We are incredibly grateful to Steve for the opportunity to carry forward the restaurant he has built and operated, and we are excited to put our own energy into its next chapter."
