Spring is in the air—at least, on most days! That means the Spring Garden Workshop is coming!
On Saturday, March 21, the Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will host their Spring workshop, “Memories from the Garden,” from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 221 Malone Drive, Branson. The non-refundable fee of $25 includes continental breakfast and a delicious catered lunch.
Several inspirational speakers are scheduled for the day’s workshop sessions:
Vegetable & Container Gardening, presented by Matthew Huchteman, Field Specialist in Horticulture with Missouri University Extension in Jasper County;
Growing Cut Flowers, by Abby Jackson of Faithful Spring Farm;
Walnut Trees & Syrup, by Sarah Havens, Regional Director, SW, MU Extension;
Exploring the Fascinating World of Soil Life, by Kelly McGowan, Field Specialist in Horticulture, MU Extension
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for continental breakfast and browsing the wonderful vendors and the MG Marketplace, including a flower sale by Taney County Junior Gardeners. Remember to bring cash or checks for your purchases, as not all vendors are set up for card or digital payment.
Programs start at 9 a.m., with a break for lunch by Big D’s BBQ. The workshop is always a wonderful time of learning, exchanging ideas with new friends and old ones, and maybe finding that perfect piece of garden-themed décor or holding the winning ticket for your favorite raffle item.
Register online at https://mgozarks.org/spring-workshop/, or register by mail by downloading the form and sending a check, payable to Master Gardeners of the Ozarks, to Stone County Extension Center, P.O. Box 345, Galena MO 65656. Please include names and city and state for each participant you are registering, for the nametags.
See you there!
