Many events scheduled for Veterans Week

Each year thousands of veterans visit Branson during Branson Veterans Homecoming Week, a special week set aside to honor and thank our nation's veterans.
The week is packed with special shows, ceremonies, mini reunions and other events in celebration of Veterans Week.
November 5-10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· BVTF Veterans Village at Ballparks of America, Buildings 2 and 3, 1000 Pat Nash Drive. Includes a mess hall with meals served 11:30 to 1:30 daily (Free to all veterans and just $10 for all others). Veterans Village also features 40 vendors and has a dayroom that serves as an informal gathering place for our veterans. November 5
· BVTF Veterans Celebration Show, Pepsi Legends Theater, 1600 West 76 Country Boulevard, 2 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. For more information, contact Becky at 417-332-3557.
· Opening ceremonies at the Americana Theater, 2905 West 76 Country Boulevard, 5 p.m. Admission is free for veterans and their families and seating is first come, first served. For more information, contact Dee at 870-421-3511.
November 6
· POW/MIA Service of Remembrance, College of the Ozarks Memorial Grove, 8 a.m. Call Mary at 417-336-4232 for information.
· Vietnam Veterans Reunion, AmericInn by Wyndham, 275 Tanger Boulevard, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes a hot meal, entertainment and more. Call Dee to RSVP at 870-421-3511.
November 7
· Sandbox Party, Mel's Hard Luck Diner, 2800 West 76 Country Boulevard, 8:30 to 10 a.m. A hot breakfast, entertainment and door prizes. Open to all who have served in the Gulf War or afterwards. No admittance charge. Call Dee to RSVP, 870-421-3511.
· Homefront Heroes (Spouses) Salute, AmericInn by Wyndham, 275 Tanger Blvd, 12 noon to 3 p.m. Includes a hot meal, entertainment and door prizes. RSVP to Dee at 870-421-3511.
· “Pueblo, a Year of Crisis in America,” at the Royal Oak Forum, College of the Ozarks, begins at 5 p.m. This is an International Film Festival winner. Call the P.O.W. Network for information, 417-336-4232.
November 8

November 9
· Sunday Worship Service with Barbara Fairchild, Clay Cooper Theatre, 2316 W. 76 Country Blvd., 10 am. Call 417-879-6060 for information.
· 29th Annual Military Gala and Banquet at Chateau on the Lake, 415 N. State Highway 265, 5 to 11 p.m. Public is invited, and all branches of the service are welcome. Celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps with dinner, a cake cutting, dancing and fireworks. Reservations are required. Tickets are $69 each. Call 417-336-4232 for reservations.
November 10

· 16th Annual Walmart Tribute to the Veterans Show, Mansion Theatre, 189 Expressway Lane. No charge. Pre-show begins at 8:30 with the show starting at 9:00. Event will be hosted by Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris. Special guest speaker is award winning military/film documentary producer Bill Lowe.
· Walmart Veterans Tribute Lunch at Branson Meadows, 4562 N. Gretna Road, 11:30 to 1:30. Call Dee for information, 870-421-3511.
· 12th Annual Navy Memorial Service, Grand Pavilion at Westgate Resort, 2201 Roark Valley Road, 8:30 am. Includes a public bell tolling ceremony to honor the lives and service of Naval shipmates. Also, a keynote speaker, entertainment and coffee. Call Becky at 417-332-3557 for information.
· Medics, Nurses and Combat Vets Mini Reunion, Grand Pavilion at Westgate Resort, 2201 Roark Valley Road, 2 pm. Free admission and open to the public. Call Becky for more information, 417-332-3557.
