Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Day meal a huge success

Each year an area nonprofit makes it their goal to provide a memorable Thanksgiving meal for the community.

The 18th Annual Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Day meal was a tremendous success, with nearly 500 people—volunteers and diners combined—in attendance.

A delicious meal with turkey and all the trimming was served on Thursday at the parish center of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where the event has been held for a number of years.

Elevate Branson volunteers took orders, served visitors who dined by candlelight, cleaned up after the meal and spent time visiting with and getting to know others in attendance.  

The meal, sponsored by area businesses and individuals, not only provides a warm meal for those who might need it, but also offers companionship, as Elevate Branson works diligently to ensure that no one has to spend Thanksgiving alone.
