Donation helps animals find new forever homes

A substantial donation to Taney County Animal Control made several sponsored animal adoptions possible.

Taney County Animal Control was the recipient of a generous donation from the recent Mickey Gilley Memorial Golf Tournament. As a result of the donation, and as a way to honor the deep love Gilley and his family had for all animals, all cat and dog adoptions were completely sponsored on July 24 and 25. This made it possible for several families, who had a desire to add a furry family member to their household, to do so free of charge.  The result was a very rewarding weekend for the families, the animals, and the staff and volunteers of Taney County Animal Control.
