On Tuesday, December 16, the local area chapter of Concerned Women for America Missouri held their Christmas luncheon and fellowship, hosted by Freedom Encounter Theater. The gathering began with singing of Christmas hymns to the accompaniment of the pump organ in the theater’s Colonial Church, followed by a delicious luncheon in the theater lobby, catered by Coffee Creations.
Featured speakers for the meeting were Jerry and Kate Angelo of Vanguard Marriage and Family Associates, sharing about their recent trip to Israel. The Angelos partner with other nonprofits and ministries to advocate for strong marriages and families, in the faith-based context intended by America’s Founding Fathers.
State Representative Brian Seitz also greeted the luncheon attendees and shared updates from the 2025 Missouri legislative sessions, as well as goals for the upcoming January sessions.
If you’re looking for a way to help advocate for faith and families in our local communities and in Missouri, the beginning of a new year is a great time to get involved in CWA Missouri. Local chapters meet regularly for updates and prayer; support and have fellowship with area Young Women of America chapters including the College of the Ozarks; they also participate in the group’s “Encourage A Legislator” activities and travel to Jefferson City to meet with legislators and rally in support of key initiatives.
