Jackson named CEO of White River Valley Electric Cooperative
White River Valley Electric Cooperative (WRVEC) announced a planned transition in executive leadership, as Chief Executive Officer Chris Hamon will retire effective September 1, following more than 40 years of dedicated service to the Cooperative.

Hamon’s career reflects a longstanding commitment to the Cooperative and its members. From his early days with the organization to his leadership as CEO, he has guided WRVEC through decades of growth and technological change while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, stability and service.
“Chris’ leadership has left a lasting impact on this Cooperative and the communities we serve,” said Neal Crum, president of the WRVEC Board of Directors. “His dedication to our members and employees has helped build a strong foundation for the future.”
Following a comprehensive, multi-state selection process, the WRVEC Board of Directors has selected Beau Jackson as the Cooperative’s next Chief Executive Officer.
The selection of an internal candidate reflects the strength of the organization and the depth of leadership within WRVEC. Jackson brings a strong understanding of the Cooperative’s operations, culture, and the unique needs of the communities it serves.
Beau Jackson has been with WRVEC for 13 years. During his tenure, he has provided strategic oversight across both electric and fiber operations—most recently leading White River Connect, the Cooperative’s fiber internet subsidiary. Previously serving as the WRVEC’s Vice President and Chief Engineering Officer, Jackson oversaw initiatives that included enterprise capital planning and long‑term infrastructure reliability.
A graduate of Branson High School, Beau holds advanced degrees in engineering and business and is a licensed professional engineer.
Jackson’s experience and industry knowledge will provide leadership continuity while supporting the Cooperative’s ongoing focus on safe, reliable and affordable service.
“Our focus remains unchanged—serving our members with safe, reliable and affordable electricity while continuing to invest in the future of our communities,” Crum said.
“I’m excited to lead the Cooperative and our fiber subsidiary into the next chapter while continuing our long tradition of serving our local communities,” Jackson said. “Even as the energy and broadband industries change, our focus remains the same—taking care of our members, supporting our employees, and finding practical, innovative ways to serve our region well. I’m deeply grateful to Chris for his 40 years of dedication and leadership.”
Hamon and Jackson will work closely in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
“As we look ahead, we are confident in the leadership of Beau Jackson and the strength of our organization,” said Crum. “With the support of our employees, we are well-positioned to continue delivering reliable service to our members.”
