Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ozarks is proud to announce the recent selection of board member Daryl Froeschle to the Boys & Girls Clubs Area Council Hall of Fame. The honor was conferred at a special dinner and awards ceremony in Kansas City, hosted by the Missouri Area Council of Boys & Girls Clubs.

Boys & Girls Clubs in America operate on a federated model, with local clubs autonomous in making the best decisions to serve their local area, but affiliated with their state’s Area Council which serves as a liaison to the national organization. Missouri Area Council meetings are held twice yearly for training events as well as celebration of accomplishments in serving youth.
The Boys & Girls Clubs Area Council Hall of Fame honors those individuals whose high achievements have made a mark in their local Club and impacted the Missouri Area Council of Boys & Girls Clubs. At the celebration, those honored were described as “true champions for children, who have provided innumerable accomplishments and lasting impact.”
Daryl Froeschle has been on the Board for Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks for over 30 years, joining the Board in 1994 as one of the original founding members of the organization. He has served as Board Chair, and has been the Safety Chair since 2019. In 2017, Froeschle joined the Board Development Committee and participated in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Board Transformation Program, helping the Club create their current Board structure and updating roles and responsibilities. He has attended many Missouri Area Councils in support of the Council’s work on board development and advocacy.
In his nomination of Froeschle, CEO Stoney Hays of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ozarks shared that Daryl and his wife, Tammy, have supported BGCO not only financially, but through advocacy and community engagement, helping identify prospective donors and potential board candidates. “He attends 100% of board meetings and 100% of committee meetings—a great example for all!” said Hays.
Past BGCO inductees to the Hall of Fame have included Leon Combs, Stoney Hays, Rick Huffman, and Cathy and David Horsey.
