Volunteers needed at Bonniebrook

Bonniebrook Art Gallery and Kewpie Museum is seeking volunteers to help them get ready for their 2026 opening.

Bonniebrook, the home of artist Rose O'Neill, is operated by the Bonniebrook Historical Society and is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, 100% volunteer run. The facility is maintained through gift shop sales, donations, fundraisers and ticket sales for tours of the house and art gallery.

Last year, volunteers were able to replace the roof on the Rose O'Neill House, and this spring begins the project of replacing the siding. Additionally, they are seeking help with mowing, weed eating and clearing trails. During operating season, Bonniebrook also accepts volunteers to work in their gift shop and give tours of the house and museum.

Work days will be held each Tuesday prior to the opening day of the 2026 season, which will begin April 1. Volunteers are welcome to drop by Bonniebrook, in their Walnut Shade location, at the 20.2 mile marker off of Highway 65, or email them at oneillmuseum@aol.com.

Bonniebrook is also seeking donations from local businesses for their upcoming silent auction in April. The annual fundraising auction will be held during the Kewpie Collectors’ convention, when Kewpie enthusiasts from all over the world will visit Branson and Bonniebrook.
