A trial date has been set for two entertainers accused of sexual exploitation of children.
Garry and Janine Carson, magicians who have performed their "Escape Reality" magic and dinner show in Branson in recent years, will go to trial on a federal indictment. The indictment alleges that the two coerced a minor to perform sexually explicit acts for photos and videos between January 2023 and June 2025. Both have pleaded Not Guilty to the charges.
In addition to their shows in Branson, the couple has performed in Las Vegas and in many venues around the country and internationally. They have been featured on numerous television shows, including the popular “Masters of Illusion.”
The jury trial for Garry and Janine Carson is set to begin on August 10 in the Western District Court of Missouri.
