Thompson’s companies offer casino tours and vacation transportation

Branson residents and visitors are accustomed to seeing a large number of motor coaches visiting Branson, taking in all the shows and attractions our town has to offer. But, did you know that the area has outbound motor coaches that travel to casinos throughout the region, and carry vacationers to other destinations across the country?

Scott Thompson is the owner of Bus2Casino, which has been in operation for 12 years, and has been involved in the local motorcoach business for the past 31 years. He owns Gatherings Plus as well as Thompson Coach Company, a nationwide transportation company handling transportation and scheduling vacations and  events for groups that visit Branson— military reunions, church groups, bank groups, corporate travel, youth groups, wedding parties and much more. Additionally, Thompson Coach Company caters to groups that travel from the Ozarks to locales such as Miami, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston and all points in between. Thompson also operates Branson's downtown area trolley system.

Born in Louisiana, Scott moved with his family to the East Coast due to his father's business. Thompson would go on to attend high school in St Louis, but would travel to Branson on weekends to fish and hunt. The beauty of the area's waterways and abundance of outdoor activities drew Thompson to Branson and was a natural place for him to embark on a tourism-based career.

Bus2Casino is a full service casino transportation provider and tour operator offering both day trips and overnight trips to area casinos.

""We currently go to Downstream, Indigo Sky, River Bend and all other area casinos," explained Thompson. "We go several times each month."

The motorcoach typically arrives at the casino at 9:45 to 10 a.m. and departs at approximately 3 p.m. Average cost for a casino day trip is $30 per person, with overnight trips ranging from $80 to $120 per trip.

Said Thompson, "It includes round trip motorcoach transportation, Free Play, and food discounts, everything except your spending money."

Thompson encourages all area residents to give Bus2Casino a try.

"Contact our Bus2Casino hostess Mary Ellen and get on the bus with us," said Thompson. "Call 417-773-5500 or our office, 417-334-5678."
