The Worman House earns 2026 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award

The Worman House has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2026 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine.

Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards recognize excellence in restaurant wine service across three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award, with 2,083, 1,830 and 99 winners this year in each respective category.

The Worman House has won the Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists offer at least 75 selections and feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

The Worman House, which originally served as the 1920s country retreat for Frisco Railroad executive Harry Worman, offers upscale American cuisine, breathtaking views of Table Rock Lake, and an extensive cocktail and wine list. Menu highlights include Lobster Thermidor and Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass. Each month, the restaurant hosts a curated wine dinner centered around a different region, producer or terroir. On August 28, The Worman House invites guests to explore PlumpJack Estate Winery, including coveted Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay selections.
