Stone County Historical Society plans field trip to Top of the Rock, Nov. 14
The Stone County Historical/Genealogical Society invites community members to explore the history and natural beauty of the Ozarks during an upcoming field trip to Top of the Rock in Ridgedale on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Participants should plan to arrive around 9 a.m. and allow at least three to four hours to experience the attractions. Admission includes access to the 2.5-mile Lost Canyon Cave® and Nature Trail and the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.
As part of the Society’s Gatekeepers of the Ozarks project, the trip will provide an opportunity to explore regional history, including exhibits highlighting the people and cultures that have shaped the Ozarks. Participants are encouraged to take their time exploring the museum and learning more about the region’s heritage.
Tickets also include one digital photo and one drink at the Bat Bar.
Active members of the Stone County Historical/Genealogical Society will receive free admission for the field trip. Those who are not yet members are encouraged to join or renew their membership through the Society’s GiveButter page at https://givebutter.com/L5rAkV. Membership supports the Stone County Museum, educational programs, exhibits, historic preservation, research and efforts to preserve and share the stories of Stone County for future generations.
The field trip offers an opportunity for history enthusiasts and community members to connect with the region’s past while experiencing one of the Ozarks’ notable attractions. The Society encourages everyone interested in local history and preservation to participate in this special opportunity to explore the Ozarks together.
