Sponsors sought to preserve musical history

A special plaque will honor those who are helping to preserve Branson's musical history.

"We are excited to officially begin creating the Founding Sponsors Plaque for the Song of Hope Museum," explained Marshall Howden founder of the Song of Hope Museum and Song of Hope Foundation. "This plaque will permanently honor the individuals, families, businesses and theaters who have helped establish and secure the future of the museum and preserve Branson's musical story for generations to come."

The Song of Hope Museum, located at 673 State Highway 165, in the Coffelt Country Craft Village, contains the area's most comprehensive collection of music history and memorabilia that is specific to Branson, MO. The museum tells the intriguing story of Branson and its entertainers from the early days of entertainment with The Baldknobbers, The Presleys and The Plummer Family to the Branson Boom and beyond. Admission to the museum is free and everyone is encouraged to visit and learn more about the musical legends that made Branson the Live Music Show Capital of the World.

Howden added that several Branson theaters have already expressed their interest in becoming Founding Sponsors.

To become a Founding Sponsor of the Song of Hope Museum, and have your name or that of your business, theater or family listed on the plaque, you must simply make a one-time minimum donation of $40 to the Song of Hope Museum.

"Your support helps us continue preserving the history, music, entertainers and stories that make Branson so special," said Howden. "Together, we preserve the music. Together, we tell the story."
