The Song of Hope movement has announced the recipient of the Song of Hope Award for 2026. The Song of Hope Award is presented each year to an entertainer who acts as an advocate for Branson's live music shows, for the entertainers and for those behind the scenes that make these shows possible.
This year's Song of Hope Award was presented to Timothy Haygood, of the Haygoods.

"The Song of Hope Award is not about chart success or ticket sales," explained Song of Hope Founder Marshall Howden. "It is about stewardship. It honors those who use their voice to protect the heart of the town. Tim Haygood embodies that stewardship, not only through his success on stage but through his commitment to strengthening the ecosystem that allows Branson's live music shows to thrive. Tim has long been a trusted advocate for Branson's entertainers, a steady voice for live music and a leader who understands that our shows are not just entertainment—they are our identity and our economic engine."
Howden continued," From an early age, Tim demonstrated a rare vision, recognizing the potential for himself and his siblings to grow into a world-class music act. That vision, paired with discipline and strategy, ultimately helped build the Haygoods into one of Branson's most successful and recognizable shows. Along the way, Tim developed a deep understanding of Branson's marketing landscape, studying both micro and macro-level tactics that drive success in a competitive live music market. As his expertise grew, he became a valuable sounding board for fellow Branson show producers and entertainers, particularly in emerging areas such as Google AdWorks and digital marketing."
Tim's expertise and advocacy naturally extended to community involvement, as he became an avid participant in the Tourism Community Enhancement District efforts, and worked to help shape a cooperative marketing program that matched show's contributions with public funds. Haygood was instrumental in helping entertainers and shows to understand and participate in this unique opportunity. He was later named to the TCED Board, where his experience in operating a Branson show, along with his understanding of the entertainment industry and its economy make him an effective voice to represent the theaters and live music shows.
Tim Haygood joins an impressive list of Song of Hope Award winners that includes Mike Patrick (2020), The Hughes Family (2021), Doug Gabriel (2022), Jim Barber (2023), The Brett Family (2024) and Clay Cooper (2025).
Said Howden, "On behalf of the Song of Hope Assembly and a grateful music community, thank you, Tim, for your leadership, your integrity and your unwavering support of Branson's music heritage."
