Resort now set for 2027 opening

Progress continues on the promised Silver Dollar City Resort.

Now set for a 2027 opening, the first theme park resort in the region will boast more than 260 rooms, amazing indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a full-service restaurant that will be open to the public, an expansive two-story tall lobby, and an unprecedented amount of meeting space for indoor and outdoor events. Outside space will feature fire pits, grills and amazing scenic views for the enjoyment of resort guests. Guests will also be treated to VIP transportation from the resort to the front gate of Silver Dollar City, ticket packages and other perks to add extra value to their stay.

A general manager has been hired to lead the team at the resort. Erling Acosta, a longtime hospitality professional with more than 20 years in leadership at some of the country's top resorts, will be at the helm of the new development, directing a staff of over 250 employees. Acosta came to the Silver Dollar City Resort from Oklahoma, where he served as general manager of the new Okana Resort and Indoor Water Park in Oklahoma City.

Acosta's goal at the Silver Dollar City Resort is to deliver exceptional service and concentrate on creating unforgettable memories for resort guests.
