One of Branson's most anticipated events occurred last weekend, The Branson Auction.
Traditionally held twice per year, in April and October, The Branson Auction made a change in dates this spring. The strategic move from early April to late March meant that the popular event was held on a weekend where no other auto auctions were held throughout the region, allowing for even better attendance.
A recent change in ownership at The Branson Auction also meant more changes at the premiere event for car collectors and auto enthusiasts. Founded in the late 1980s by Mark Trimble and later purchased by Jim Cox, The Branson Auction was purchased in 2024 by Roger and Mary Napper, who operated the business with the help of their son. The Napper family has been in the automobile industry for nearly three decades and continues the Cox family's tradition of making service their top priority at The Branson Auction.
In addition to a change in dates, the spring edition of The Branson Auction was held in a new location—the Chateau on the Lake Resort and Conference Center, after years at their previous home at the Branson Convention Center.
The event was well attended, with over 200 vehicles sold off during the two-day event.
Dates have not yet been announced for the fall auction.
