Hudson, Seitz recognized for work in tourism

Brad Hudson (State Senator District 33) and Brian Seitz (State Representative District 156) were both honored at last week’s Branson Chamber of Commerce State of the State Luncheon.

Hudson and Seitz were both recipients of the Branson Chamber Champion of Tourism Award.

“This came as a total surprise, as we weren’t notified ahead of time, but it was a true honor and recognition of our serious efforts every year to protect and promote tourism in our area and across the state,” said Representative Seitz. “When I came to Branson 40 years ago, I immediately began promoting our area through the ownership of my monthly newspaper, Music Country News, and our family has been involved in shows and the tourism industry in some way ever since.”

“As State Representative, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, and a member of the State Tourism Commission, I have championed our area, and tourism funding, every year I’ve been in the House,” Seitz continued. “It has been a true honor to shine a spotlight on this important industry, and I’m deeply thankful for this recognition.”
