“Glenda has changed Forsyth for the better in many spaces. Forsyth’s Farmers Market is now the largest in Taney County thanks to Glenda’s leadership. She partners with local sellers to ensure every vendor has proper permitting, thus strengthening trust across the board. In addition to growing the farmer’s market, she is helping people grow produce in the Community Garden. She established the Community Garden to fulfill her vision of a healthier, better-connected neighborhood. Glenda’s impact on the senior population is also immensely appreciated. As the Forsyth Senior Center transitioned to the independent Senior Friendship Center, Glenda led with compassion and determination. Through her role as president of the Senior Friendship Center, she has overseen fundraising efforts for a new facility. Glenda sets herself apart through the care she shows to all individuals daily. She is a connector, mentor, and most importantly, a goodhearted neighbor.”
