On May 13, 2026, Elevate Branson celebrated the graduation of the spring class of its Elevate Work program.
The Elevate Work class is one of the many programs that support the Elevate Branson goal to provide opportunities for growth in the workplace and in life. Elevate Work students discover the importance and dignity of work as the program helps them develop skills and tools to improve their employment opportunities. The 9-week course is open to anyone who wants greater earning potential and a more enjoyable and fulfilling work life.
The class includes business panels of local professionals and business owners who coach students through mock interviews; and class assignments include setting goals and developing a resume, all of which provide "real life" practice for students to build confidence for their journey.
The featured speakers for the graduation ceremony were Ryan and Shae Duffy, Founders & Partners of Ozark Mountain Realty Group, Ozark Mountain Vacation and Ozark Mountain Group Development. Ryan and Shae shared their own personal struggles, including losses and shattered dreams leading to beginning anew in the Omaha, Arkansas, community. As they have become successful in business, they have also continued to grow in their faith.
Five-year-old Paul Riley completed the Elevate Kids curriculum, under the direction of Elevate Kids Director Cathy Brown. Paul received a certificate and a stuffed toy dog patterned after Theo, who serves as emotional support and therapy dog for Elevate Kids programs.
The spring graduates were Laura Rodriguez, William Riley and Tatia Garrison. Instructor Gayle Slater presented their certificates and folders with additional resources, as well as recognizing the graduates for completing a series of computer classes. Each student's personal mentor spoke in turn about the students’ accomplishments, sharing how proud they were of all the hard work, commitment to learning and being open to personal growth and change.
Elevate Work Director Donna McConkey wrapped up the evening by expressing gratitude to the many individuals it takes to make this class a success. Currently, 86.6% of Elevate Work graduates are employed. "That is a number I am very proud of," stated McConkey.
