Branson music show winners named

The Branson Show Awards is a prestigious annual event that brings area entertainers and their fans together for one exciting afternoon, as Branson celebrated those who make the music.

The Branson Show Awards is Branson's longest running award ceremony, designed to honor Branson's artists and musicians. Founded in 2004 by Gary Wackerly, the Branson Show Awards is now operated by Michael Wackerly, Brandon Wackerly and James Kast.  

A committee from the Branson Show Awards visits each of Branson's shows throughout the year, to select nominees in a variety of categories.  The nominees are then voted on and winners are selected.  The winners are celebrated at a formal awards presentation,

This year's Branson's Show Awards was held on Sunday, at the Nashville Roadhouse Theatre. Award winners are listed below.

• Receiving the award for Band of the Year was Nashville Roadhouse Live.

• In the category of Bass Player of the Year, the award was presented to Dillon Massengale.

• This year's Drummer of the Year was Drew Lanning.

• Fiddle Player of the Year honors went to Louis Darby.

• The award for Instrumentalist of the Year was presented to Nathan Agdeppa.

• The Keyboardist of the Year was Chris Bustillos.

• In the category of Guitarist of the Year, the winner was Kevin Allen.

• Rick Thomas was named Oracle Entertainer of the Year.

• Comedian of the Year honors went to Andy Parks.

• The winner of Vocal Group of the Year was the Motown Downtown Tribute.

• The Duet of The Year award was presented to Jamie Haage and Kimberly Barber.

• The Dance Troupe of The Year was MJ - The Illusion Dancers.

• In the category of Patriotic Salute of the Year, the honor went to Spirit of America.

• The Tribute Artist of the Year award was presented to Michael Knight.

• The recipient of the Tribute Show of the Year award was Dean Z – The Ultimate Elvis.

• The honor of Comedy Show of the Year was given to Matt Gumm and Co.

• The Gospel Show of the Year award went to Southern Gospel Sundays.

• This year's Family Show of the Year award was presented to Hamners’ Unbelievable Variety Show.

• In the category of New Show of the Year, The Mountain Hollers were victorious.

• The Morning Show of the Year honor was given to Rock ‘N’ Roll Sunrise.

• The Matinee Show of the Year award was given to Classic Rock Icons.

• For Early Evening Show of the Year, the winner was Patsy Cline & Friends

• The Evening Show of the Year award was presented to Grand Jubilee.

• Female Vocalist of the Year honors went to Ashley Dawn.

• The Female Entertainer of the Year award was also presented to Ashley Dawn.

• Male Vocalist of the Year honors were given to Dillon Massengale.

• Male Entertainer of the Year honors were given to Stevie Lee Woods.

• The coveted Entertainers of the Year award was presented to the Hughes Music Show.
