On Monday, December 22, leaders and volunteers from area nonprofit 4Ozark Seniors met at Branson Bank’s Branson West branch office to pick up generous donations of gifts and supplies, collected by Branson Bank employees and customers as part of their initiative to bless area senior citizens in need during the Christmas season.

The generosity shown was just one of many ways area nonprofits worked together during and leading up to the holidays to help provide a Merry Christmas for those struggling financially or in practical ways.
“Finding and coordinating resources and care can be overwhelming for senior citizens,” said Deb Rambo of 4Ozark Seniors. “Being given a list of agencies to call, and then trying to navigate AI or being put on hold multiple times before ever reaching someone, many elderly people just give up and never really get the services they deserve or qualify for.”
To help alleviate that situation, 4Ozark Seniors meets with senior citizens to determine their needs and which nonprofits, government agencies, etc., can best help them, including decisions about healthcare during the annual open enrollment period. 4Ozark Seniors also partners with other nonprofits to provide those resources affordably, as well as with business partners like Branson Bank who pitch in to help.
“Some are barely making ends meet on their Social Security,” said Rambo. “Something as simple as a new toothbrush is often a much-needed gift.”
In addition to Branson Bank, examples of those partnerships include Convoy of Hope, which has provided coats for needy seniors, and Medical Blessings, a nonprofit that coordinates donations of medical equipment and supplies for those who need them. If you or someone you know has unused walkers, hospital beds, or other assistive devices, reach out via the Facebook page or email info@medicalblessings.org about donating them to bless others who need them.
