Branson Auction attended by collectors, enthusiasts

Thousands of collectors and car enthusiasts made their way to the Branson Convention Center last weekend to enjoy one of the region’s biggest and best auto auctions. Some came in hopes of taking home a special vehicle while other just enjoyed viewing the many sports cars, classic cars and trucks and unique vehicles that made it to the auction block.

Bidding was fast and furious during the two-day event as bids were made in person and over the phone, and collectors were vying for their desired vehicle.

Owned by Roger and Mary Napper, the Branson Auction is held twice each year, in April and October. The event brings in people from around the country who enjoy the auction and often find time to visit some of Branson's fine shows and attractions.

Last weekend's event featured a live auction on both Friday and Saturday, with a charity auction to benefit the Taney County 100 Club held on Thursday evening. Friday and Saturday's auction included not only a large selection of cars and trucks, but plenty of automobile merchandise and specialty vehicles such as golf cars, motorcycles and more.

Plans are already underway for the spring auction to be held in April.
