Bidding was fast and furious during the two-day event as bids were made in person and over the phone, and collectors were vying for their desired vehicle. 

Sheriff Branson was elected in 1888, the 15th Sheriff of Taney County. He was killed in a shootout on July 4, 1889, after being informed that three brothers were displaying weapons just down the road from a holiday picnic in Kirbyville.
