The infamous historic crime partners Bonnie and Clyde took over the streets of Reeds Spring in three reenactments of their streak of bank robberies and shout-outs with law enforcement.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the 2026 Bonnie and Clyde Day took place, under the supervision of the Reeds Spring Event Committee, at the Reeds Spring City Field. During the day there were three reenactments of the actual shootout between the Bonnie and Clyde gang and law enforcement, which happened in Reeds Spring over 90 years ago.

The event also hosted over 30 vendors, the Table Rock Lake Car Show, a poker run to benefit the Freedom of the Road Riders toy projects to help get Christmas gifts for area children, a bike show and entertainment. Live on stage Haley Frisco performed and was followed on stage by The Flying Buzzards band.

Guests had several food choices from local food businesses and food trucks.

The historic reenactments entertained and educated many people in attendance to a part of Reeds Spring history.

“I have never been here for this event,” said Lisa, an attendee who asked to be attributed by her first name only. “I have lived in Branson West for over a decade and never knew that Bonnie and Clyde was actually a part of the history of the area. I just thought of them as a movie couple, not real life criminals. Let alone criminals who robbed in the area I now call home. It is pretty cool.”

Twelve-year-old Maddy Flameling, who was attending the event with her family, said it was cool but the noises of the blank gunfire were scary loud. “I didn’t like how loud the gunshots were. They scared me, but it is a cool thing to do today. I like the booths and all the cool stuff,” Flameling said.

The Reeds Spring Event Committee is already planning its 2027 events including the Easter Egg Hunt, Clean-Up Days, Cajun Days, Hillbilly Days, Bonnie and Clyde Days and the annual Christmas Parade.
