Youth archery deer hunt announced for Table Rock Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Lake, will host a youth archery hunt Oct. 16 through 18, 2026. The hunt will take place on USACE property below Table Rock Dam.
Applications to participate must be received by 4 p.m., Sept 25, 2026. Applications are available online at https://www.swl.usace.army.mil/Missions/Recreation/Lakes/Table-Rock-Lake/Events/, or in-person at the Dewey Short Visitor Center and Table Rock Lake Project Office. Only five permits will be issued. A lottery system will be used if more than five applications are received.
Youth hunters must be between the ages of 6 and 15 by Oct. 16, 2026, and must be accompanied by an assisting adult at least 18 years of age. The assistant will not be permitted to have any weapons or participate in the hunt.
If selected, the hunter and assistant must attend a mandatory safety meeting Oct. 16, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The hunt will take place Oct. 17-18, 2026, during legal hunting hours with set meetings and activities at times to be determined.
Selected hunters must possess all necessary permits, tags, or licenses required by Missouri Department of Conservation to legally harvest a deer during archery season prior to the mandatory safety meeting. Hunter and assistant must wear hunter orange.
