Walk for Life benefits Options Pregnancy Clinic

Friends of Options Pregnancy Clinic were blessed with a beautiful Saturday morning on April 12 as they gathered at the Branson Rec Plex to “Be the Hope” for unborn babies and their moms and dads.

The annual Walk for Life fundraiser helps support the many services Options provides to moms facing unexpected or difficult pregnancy circumstances—free, confidential and information; ultrasound, exam and referrals to medical care; parenting classes for both moms and dads; supplies and clothing; and so much more—nearly two full years of services, plus an ongoing sense of family and caring fellowship.

Over 100 walk participants began gathering early to enjoy food provided by sponsors Chick-fil-A Branson, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and Vintage Paris. Executive Director Laura Fogle welcomed and thanked the participants, volunteers and food sponsors, plus prize sponsors Big Cedar Lodge, Lilley’s Landing, The Track Family Fun Parks, The Keeter Center and Tanger Outlets Branson, as well as the many other sponsors and donors that help make the event a success each year.

Opening prayer was offered by District 156 State Rep. Brian Seitz. A staunch supporter of pro-life legislation and policy in the Missouri House of Representatives, Seitz is involved in the current effort to repeal Missouri’s recent Amendment 3. Speaking briefly to that issue at the Walk, Seitz said he and others in the House believe many voters were not fully aware of the harm the amendment does to women. (The House has since advanced the legislation to the Missouri Senate.)

Seitz also thanked Options and other area pregnancy clinics for their valuable work assisting women who choose life for their babies. So far in 2025, 34 babies have been delivered and 74 more are on the way. Not only is each baby a life saved, but parent testimonies indicate positive turnarounds in family life and choices, help accessing other community resources, and improved job skills among the benefits they have received.
