The Hughes Brothers Theatre is giving back to the community in a big way, with a food drive to help those in need in the community.
The Hughes family encourages you to help make a difference for your neighbors in need by donating nonperishable food items to their food drive. In exchange for your donation, you will receive FREE admission to the Hughes Music Show.
"We are honored to be partnering with Christian Action Ministries to help provide food and essentials to families in Taney and Stone counties who need it most," said a representative of the Hughes Brothers Theatre. "Bring a donation and receive a free ticket to the Hughes Music Show."
The representative continued, "As summer approaches, many families lose access to school meals. Together, we can help fill that gap. Every can, every item, every dollar makes an impact right here in our community."
Suggested donations include canned, nonperishable food (fruits, vegetables, meats, soup, etc.); dry protein items (peanut butter, etc,); dry grain items (such as rice or pasta); breakfast items (cereal or granola bars, for example); hygiene items (for adults and children); baby care items (diapers and wipes) and financial donations.
The Hughes Brothers Theatre Food Drive is set for Saturday, May 9, at 8 p.m. All donations will be given to Christian Action Ministries, to be distributed through the community.
