Taney County Sheriff’s Office debuts new website
Residents of Taney County and beyond will no longer have to go through the county’s website to keep track of what’s happening with the Sheriff’s office.
The Taney County Sheriff’s Office announced the launch of TaneyMoSheriff.gov, a new website designed to increase interaction with the community in an easy-to-use format. The site will allow residents to find information about department operations, inmate bookings, released inmates, most wanted fugitives and suspects and area sex offenders.
"Posting information on the website improves the efficiency of the Sheriff's Office by reducing the number of inquiry calls handled by our office,” Sheriff Brad Daniels said. “This tool allows us to devote more resources to the safety and security of our residents.”
The new site will be the department’s main information source to the community. Residents will be able to obtain necessary information from any electronic device from desktop computers to tablets and smartphones.
“Our intent is for every county resident to visit the site and become familiar with how to submit a crime tip and where to find the latest news and updates from the Sheriff's Office,” Daniels said. “We believe the website is a huge benefit to the Sheriff's Office and the residents of Taney County as well.”
The new site will include information about departments and services of the office so residents will easily know who to contact on various issues; forms which can be submitted online to the Sheriff’s office; press releases and special messages from the Sheriff; and an inmate roster which will show photos and information on those booked into the detention center or who have been released in the previous 48 hours.
The department is also working on an app which they hope is ready “in the near future.” The app would allow the department to send notifications to user devices in the event of emergencies.
