Standing by the Door to hold fundraiser

Standing by the Door, a recovery program designed to bring healing and hope to those suffering from addiction to drugs and alcohol, is holding their annual fundraising banquet this week.

Standing by the Door is a six-month sober living program offering clients a variety of classes such as Common Solution Recovery, We Do Recover, Carrying the Message and Spiritual Growth. The program provides sober-living housing, transportation services, a drop-in center and weekly church services. Classes, based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, are taught by those who have suffered from addiction and found the solution.

Standing by the Door's vision is "to see our communities set free from addiction, by people finding freedom, finding purpose, and going out into the world and making a difference."

The 2025 Standing by the Door Fundraising Banquet is set for Friday, August 15, with a theme of "The Ending Can Change." The banquet is destined to be an evening of hope, transformation and purpose. It is a fundraiser built on faith, fellowship and the truth that no story is too far gone.

The fundraising banquet celebrates new chapters and supports the organization's mission that makes those new chapters possible.

The evening's event, including a meal, testimonies, a fundraising auction and more, begins at 6 p.m. at 202 Vaughn Road in Branson.
