The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will present the sixth annual Post-It Note, 3"x3" Art Show at the SMAC gallery at 7 Downing Street in Historic Downtown Hollister. Each year, SMAC invites local artists to create miniature artworks presented on a standard size sticky note (3” x 3” square), canvas, paper or other substrate for this unique exhibit. All works of art will be sold at the affordable price of just $5 each. Proceeds are split between the artist and SMAC.
This novel event is an important fundraiser for SMAC, helping to cover operating expenses of the Art Center. The show runs October 3-31.
The opening reception will be Friday, October 3, from 6-9 pm. Unlike other SMAC gallery exhibits, art bought at the show can be taken from the gallery at the time of purchase. Art is sold on a first come, first served basis. Bearing that in mind, patrons are encouraged to consider anEarly Access Pass, available on the SMAC website, allowing access to the show one hour prior to the opening reception.

Many of the artists will be available to discuss their art during the reception. A framing station will be available with small frames suitable for the miniature artworks. Attendees may view the exhibit, tour the private studios and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Vintage Paris Coffee kiosk will also be on site.
Each month during their exhibits, SMAC highlights one of the many local nonprofit organizations that serve the area. This month SMAC is drawing attention to Christian Action Ministries (CAM) whose vision is to help people in the Taney and Stone County regions obtain needed resources, to encourage self-sufficiency and independence, and bring together the caring communities in a manner that provides dignity and respect for those they serve. In 2024, CAM’s Food Pantry provided more than two million pounds of food to those in need.
